The Defensive Driving Institute of New Jersey is committed to reducing the human suffering and financial losses caused by preventable motor vehicle collisions. 

      By refreshing basic and teaching advanced driving techniques, we aim to reduce the nearly 45,000 fatalities and over 2 million injuries that occur each year on our nation's roadways, as well as the 150  billion dollar loss to our nation's economy. 

Since 1998, our instructors have taught life-saving driving techniques to over 2,000 students ranging in age from 17 to 75. Many of these students have later reported to us that  what they learned in the class prevented them from being involved in a serious motor vehicle collision.
